Horrible! Now most of incoming emails do not reach me. Earthlink adopted a new "antispam" policy. It blocks IP from which suspected spam cam. (Instead of delivering mails them to the suspected spam folder). As a result incoming legit emails were blocked, more and more....

EARTHLINK IS FRAUD I AM A CUSTOMER..THEY CHARGE ME AND I CANNOT GET INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK.

I WANT TO START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST EARTHLINK. HOW DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS.

HELP WITH INFOR. ON HOW YOU HAVE GOT AHOLD OF THEM.

It is awful experience after I switched to Earthlink internet service. First, their internet service is terrible, always off line. My kids complain it very day. Second, I was told my rate was fixed rate $44.99/m for 12 month contract. There was advertise too when I switched to Earthlink. Then after 3 months the rate was increased to $70.20/m, we did not know it because of auto-pay. After over charged 4 months, I called the company first time December of 2017, they agreed give me credit $75 ($25/m for 3 months) and lowed my bill to $45.20/m, And also I asked the representative I was talking, the rate would be fixed, $45.20/m or not. He told me, YES, it would be fixed for the rest of the months. I thought the bill issue was solved. No, I was wrong. Today I called they about the bill issue, I was told they only extended 3 months previous promotion for me. They denied the offer they offered to me at the begin. Also I was told by the manager of the manager, even they wanted to give me more time of previous promotion, he could not do it due to final manufacturer setting up bill payment. I lost my interest and patient to argue with them. End of this month I will switch internet service company. Move on. If I can give them rate 0, I will do it.

EarthLink - Customer Service?

I think NOT. I called to make inquiries about DSL, and the rep asked me if I had the service already. DUH, I disconnected, and threw them out as a potential provider. This told me that their reps are offshore. I have nothing against reps offshore, but they don't seem to understand how English is spoken in the U.S. In Asia, they are more likely to learn British English instead. Don't get me started on the OS of my PCs, I am certified by a major computer company, who shall remain nameless. I know networking, I ran a network in San Jose, CA. The last time I tried to switch to Earthlink was in 2007. The rep swore that he was in th U.S., but used British lingo, yeah, right. The same rep also advised me that DSL works on MS Windows only, this is even better. MAC, who's that?

EarthLink - Abusive Tech Support

I was on the phone with an earthlink tech support guy who was verbally abusive, refused to give me his name or turn me over to his supervisor. He disconnected in the middle of addressing the problem. He asked me ‘what is your problem?” when I was upset that he closed all of my work tabs set up on foxfire, he swore, he told me he was disconnecting because I have a hearing problem, which I do not have. I have honestly never been treated this way in all the years that I’ve used tech support. I have been an earthlink customer for years!!! but this could be a deal breaker. What is my recourse? AND how do I get the problem resolved? He indicated that people were breaking into my system but did not fix the problem. I have no idea what he did.

EarthLink - No webmail - no access complete garbage

This is what I get when I try to load Earthlink Webmail. "HTTP Status 500 – Internal Server Error Type Exception Report Description The server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. Exception java.lang.NullPointerException Note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the server logs. Apache Tomcat/8.5.16" Tried to reach customer support - can not be done. Tried to send them info - can not be done. This is not the first time I have had Webmail access problems. They are getting worse. Time to change & any of you out there considering Earthlink as your ISP - go somewhere else if you want something that works. If you want something that works once in a while Earthlink is the place to be.

So ive been with earthstink, I mean earthlink for about 5 months and was told that I will be on a trial for 3 months and that it would go up to $43.00 which is very interesting because ive been getting charged $65.00 for internet which is outrageous when im only getting 7 mbps, worst provider ever. And then I was informed that they locked me in a 12 month contract WHICH I NEVER AGREED TO BTW, I believe the sales rep. added that in there. What I was told was that there would be a month to month basis. And i wait sometimes 20-30 minutes for a movie to load that is very very annoying especially when im paying so much. And oh yeah did I mention the customer service was a D..K AND WASNT HELPFUL AT ALL, THEY SUCK AT SPEAKING WITH CUSTOMERS WHICH IS ALSO INTERESTING BECAUSE I COULVE SWORN WERE PAYING YOUR SALERIES HHMMM??? Now im not letigous but if this issue is not resolved soon I will consult with my attorney! IF I DO NOT GET PLACED ON A MONTH TO MONTH OR RECIEVE A CALL BACK TO RESOLVE THESE CONTINUED ISSUES I WILL PROCEED WITH CONSULTING AN ATTORNEY!

Tried Earthlink Hyperlink for a mere week and it was a bad experience from day 2. First off, the sales rep told me over chat the incorrect installation price and I had to talk to two different representatives to get the quoted price which I was told would be refunded over the span of 3 months. Well they knew what they were doing because the service is absolutely horrible and I will never keep it for the span of three months. I've had it for one week and I'm done. I chatted and called tech support 5 times altogether. I was told I'd get speeds of 12 mbps but really that meant only 80% of that (seriously?), well, I was regularly getting less than 1 mbps. I would call, they would ask me to turn off the modem, restart the computer (eye roll), 'clear' their lines, and the speed would go up to 12 mbps. Immediately after ending the call the speed would be back down to less than 1. This happened twice in one day while only trying to use one device. Imagine a regular day when my husband is streaming Netflix, my daughter is gaming, and I'm listening to Pandora. I called to cancel, the process took 15 mins and I was initially told my monthly charge wouldn't be refunded although she eventually agreed to refund the $32.37. I'm still out the $69.99 install fee for a service I had for about a week and was abysmal the entire time, plus the time dealing with the install and customer service. At no time was the sales rep upfront about the actual speed I would get or that this would be using AT&T DSL lines (which I had tried before and knew was very slow) and gave me misinformation on top of that (I'll never see the refund for the difference in price on the install fee I was quoted). If anyone out there is thinking about using Earthlink--DON'T DO IT!!!

I RECEIVED SERVICE FROM THEM ON OCT.3RD 2017 AND THEY CHARGED MY MY FIRST BILL ON OCT 6, 2017.. SO THAT PUT MY BANK ACCOUNT IN THE NEGATIVE $12 SO I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HE SAID WHEN CAN I PAY AND I TOLD HIM OCT 20TH HE SAID THAT WAS FINE SO NOT I SEE ON OCT 12TH THEY HAVE TRIED TO TAKE THE PAYMENT AGAIN AND PUT ME IN THE NEGATIVE AGAIN.. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT I CALLED AND ARRANGED ON THE 20TH HE SAID IT'S AUTOMATIC AND CAN'T STOP THE SYSTEM FROM TRYING TO KEEP TAKING OUT THE PAYMENT.. EarthLink - Illigal deduction from credit card

Upon signing up with DishTV they hooked me up with Earthlink for my internet needs. 3 months later i seen an auto deduction for over double what i had been paying monthy. I was concerned because inwas NOT signed up for auto deduction plus my card on file was expired. I called and complained, which was even more frustrating due to the non english person i had to speak with. Very bad communication issues. They could not orivide me with a signed copy of a contract stating i wad aware if a price change but still insisted that because of what service i had that that is just what the charge is. Offered to take a new card for payment .. i refused and request an address where i could sent payment and also a nasty nice letter will be accompanying a payment.

This company lies to the customers, keep you on hold and then disconnect your call after keeping you on hold for 45-50 minutes. They blocks on your addressso you can't do business with other competitors. Every time you call for a supervisor it's always a person that don't understand what you are asking and they hurry up and get you off the phone by lying.

Details
Piece of trash slow internet. Download speeds that can lead to 24 hour downloads and intermittent drops that disconnect you from whatever you are doing at the time(game, netflix, google docs, etc.) This is trash service but I'm trapped into using it because of location. Any attempt to contact the company results in a long ordeal of menu browsing, non-human number pressing, and (if you work hard enough) a customer service rep who essentially tells you to turn your computer on and off and make sure the box is on. It's a trash company ran by trash people and if I had ANY other options, I would take them. To put it simply, I expect earthlink internet services are on par with North Korean internet. Maybe a bit worse. If you have a choice between earthlink and some other company, then trust me, choose the other company.
