Very pissed off!
I've spoken to 6 different representatives including a supervisor, about a refund I requested due to Earthlink not working in my area! The situation is still not resolved.
Internet dont work

So far, I have been a loyal paying customer of EarthLink for 27 years. I am currently paying them $32 a month for three webmail mailboxes.
I called them to simply find out how much the third mailbox is costing me each month. They recognized my phone number right away and said they would call me back when a rep was available. About 15 minutes later, they did call me back. We went through all the verification steps once again, and I was transferred three times and placed on hold for a total of 27 minutes.
My question was finally answered. They promised me I would immediately get an email survey. That never came.
I was really wishing for that survey and am still a customer but actively looking for someone else to replace them now. I am incredibly disappointed.

He said he was partnered with Frontiernet and Frontiernet wanted to offer their faster, more dependable service to me. They promised I would have my modem within 24-48 hours.
After 4 days of waiting, I called and asked them where it was. They said it was delayed and they had no idea when it would come. I told them to cancel my service and refund my money. They did not.
Instead, the modem arrived a week later. I hooked it up to see if it would work. I was getting 0.20 to 0.60 download speeds.
I called Frontiernet to complain and they told me that Earthlink was not their partner and I was scammed. I am unable to remove my credit card from their website and they have not responded to my request to return the equipment and refund my money.

I call with a refund problem and the lady was helping me and the. She just hangs up on me I have had nothing but troubles from day one I'm disabled and just had a heart attack to just be going through all this I was really looking forward to internet in my home because I don't have many options on providers in my area and everyone recommended you all boy well I will never have internet cause I will never use you all and I don't like ppl not being nice to me

Update: I still have not heard anything from EarthLink. It's because they don't want to give me a refund.
Those people did me wrong; they didn't do right. They wrote my info wrong and never told me about having to pay more when the equipment came, but they made sure that I paid the $49.99, and they would be able to keep it without giving it back with my info wrong.

Had to replace my debit card. Went on the site to change it or to pay the bill.
It's been almost a week and still won't even allow me to hit the 'pay' button. Tried calling and there's just a *** robot who tried to make the payment with the old card without other options. No person to be heard or available.
Overly priced as well.
We want WOW, but big corporations won't allow it, which is unconstitutional to monopolize.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. Original equipment was sent to wrong address.
Equipment sent to good address instead. If you can't get through to Earthlink by phone, try describing your issue on consumeraffairs.com.
Tried to install. They sent my router to the wrong address.
Their chat never responds.
Phone support is perma-hold. No response to text.

I recently upgraded my Windows laptop to Windows 11 and a new hard drive . I installed all previous software but could not get my mindspring account to upload.
After trying three times with different on line support- chat and voice - NO ONE knew Windows.
Finally researched windows apps and blogs on line for answers.
Also very frustrating to be a customer for over 25 years and corporate is hiding ! No e-mail address for complaints.
Hard company to get to talk to a representative
I finally got a a representative on the line to change my payment card numbers due to fraudulent hacking that got my account number
Customer Service sucks
Could not find a way to resolve my issue. Had to text and chat to no avail. Automated phone system cut me off 4 times

I hear ya I been trying to connect to the Internet they say I am connected to well since 830 this morning I have chatted and they leave you hanging. And then you leave your number they jump to survey.
I say it sucks the ad don't tell you Abt the 65.95 either so ii waited another month and look here I am still waiting. Bs
